I am heading down to the LA race on Friday. I should get to the track about 2:00pm. I still don't have a card for this year, I hope I don't have any trouble at sign up!

Had a great time at comp edge! The dirt is D.G. much like what was at the track in Carson. Everyone kept saying it was windy but I never noticed any wind. It was about the same as most days at the Fern. There were a few rocks and I would not think about riding there without hand guards. The roost could easily break a finger. The prep was awesome and the track didn't rut up too badly. There were some great off-camber turns and even a few off-camber straights. The jumps were safe, easy doubles with a third landing way out there for the fast guys to land on if they felt brave. The landings were big and rolled so if you did come up short you could ride out of it without going over the bars. The track is on rolling hills so there is not one flat level straight on the whole track. It was a very technical track that rewarded rider skill more than jumping ability. I had a lot of fun and will be going back next year for sure. The only downer about the weekend was that there was no saturday night dinner. I think it is kinda nice to get everyone together for dinner so you get to visit and BS. with all your friends. I didn't think I would miss it but without the dinner the race just felt like a regular race and not like an International. All you guys that like hard-pack will love it and the guys like me that love the sand just have to rail the outsides of the turns to find some soft stuff.
