Here is the 2012 Tenative race dates for the OTMX Internationals  (This info was copied from the Oregon OTMX website) There are several dates still to be set. I'll update the list when the dates are firm. |

Me too larry, I will be at CV the first weekend in march and then plan on making the trip to Az the following weekend. Dont know about LA for sure, is it really worth the trip? Comp Edge again?
I think Russ Held is going with me to CV and also my son Kyle. I know Jim Patterson is going and Duane Quick also. Haven't hear from anyone else yet.................so aleast 6 are going so far.

If the LA race is at Comp edge again It is a must go race. I had a blast at last years LA race. The track was super fun. It had many off-camber turns and even a few off-camber straights. All the jumps were well thought out for us old timers. There was a triple that was huge. It was so big that I could land on the second jump and grab another gear before going over the third jump. There were only two masters jumping the whole thing. There were some rocks so hand guards are a must.
Jesse broke his toe when his foot slipped off in the whoop section. He can't wait to go back and race there again. Last year he was the only 85 and he got to race with the big bike support class. He was running mid-pack when he slipped his foot.

Larry, I just got home from a 4 hour rock throwing detail at the "special" track. I went out there thinking is would take me about an hour to an hour and a half to walk the track and clear it. 4 hours later i got "most" of them. Only about a million that I missed. Will ride tomorrow and enjoy the fruits of my labor. You need to come up.........................Rooster
PS. those hills are steep to walk up. Haven't fiqured out how to walk down all of them yet......

:-*Just got done reviewing the other otmx web sites and AZ has on there site that the March 10/11 date is confirmed as the international date for 2012. So it is Tulure first and the Az the following weekend. Gonna be tough but I plan on doing both.
Duane will do both also and I'm trying to talk Russ Held into both weekends. Need riders showing up at the Internationals.s

I did find Harold Knoll's email address so I asked him. He seems to know what's going on with them guys over there, his practice partner is Bob Mars. |
