Anyone going to Palmdale this weekend? I will be there Friday night. Hope to see some Nevada members down there.

I had a lot of fun down in Palmdale at the international over the weekend. Saturday was Cold and a little windy. sunday was nice and sunny. The track was great! The dirt was a lot like Carson. It was hard pack on the inside lines but still had some loamy berms on the outside lines. There were a lot of jumps but nothing to hard. I was able to do most of them. The raceway is going through some kind of metamorphosis right now with Granite construction digging up a lot of the area. The track was not as long as it had been in the past. I think they did a great job with the amount of land that they had to work with. I liked the over-under bridge. I had never raced on a track with a bridge before. I had a good weekend of races. I ran as high as third in two of my motos. I never did get the whoop section dialed in and kept getting passed there all weekend. I finished in eighth place over-all. I think there were about sixteen 40 novices so I was mid-pack. Not bad for my first race at LACR. I will definitely go back next year.

Larry;
I appreciate your race reports on the Old Timer International races. I hope you will continue to post your impressions and experiences at the tracks that you go to this year.
The next Old Timer race is the Central Valley Old Timer chapter race in Tulare on April 8th and 9th. Do you plan to go to that race? I wish Judy and I could go. The Tulare track is a lot of fun and the Central Valley Old Timers do a good job as host.
Judy and I are going on a long overdue vacation for 2 weeks to Puerto Vallarta. We will not be back in time to go to Tulare. I hope you and other Old Timers can post a race report on this "Bench Racing" site.
Thanks
Bobby
