Here are the minutes from the last meeting. I want to thank Teri for putting the minutes together. I have heard from a few members that cant make the meetings that they appreciate being able to access the minutes online. Thanks again.
2012 January 10th Meeting Minutes –

Jeramiah Brown called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
Thank you to everyone who attended the banquet. A special thanks to Jim Hershman for arranging the use of the Elks Lodge. Always a great place! Everyone who attended get points. Attendees were: Jeramiah, Harry, LB, Alrin, Debbie, Duane, Larry Mullock, Jim H. Stan, Russ, Kyle, Russ,Gilbert, Bobby, Judy, Billy and their supporting family members.
OTHG is holding a practice day January 14th/15th.
Lyons club meeting to be held Jan 11th. They are in a holding pattern. They are “not getting along” and may be closing the Fernley chapter. It is in our best interest to keep it the way it is. Lyons district member was impressed with out community involvement.
SMRA schedule was available for review. Dates for race options – March 25th, April 29th (also gang national), and June 10th.
Russ proposed March 25th, Deborah seconds it. Voted 6 yea, 1 nay
June 10th vote – 3 yea , 2 nay
Harry found a water riser for filing the water trucks. It will cost $50.00 and we would need to haul away. It was voted to take a photo and revisit next meeting.
We need to bring the “fun” back to the club. Some ideas are to bring ride days that are open to all paid members. Does not have to be a prepared track, or just Fernley. Want to get every one together to ride and enjoy the day.
Our biggest expense is the lease and the national. Need to make $12,000 to break even for the year.
Jeramiah is hoping to get more sponsorships. Home depot might be willing to donate some of the supplies for the “flags”. We need to find a fabric store to donate the fabric and we can make them for free.
He spoke to Wendys and they would be willing to give us coupons/ gift certificates to give out at our races. Racers should leave with more than they came with. This would create more riders and a more fun day. There’s tons of sponsorship money for nonprofits. We just need to ask for it.
We need pictures of Fernley with people at the race track to put on the sponsorship form.
JB is talking to several bike shops about a dirt bike for a raffle. To be given out at the end of the series or at our national.
Practice on both tracts would get a better turn out. 20 mins on one, 20 on the other and a 20 minute break. Have heard some people have been asking for a “rough practice”, lots of water and not much prep work.
Club voted all in favor of Jeff McCollums proposal to add name and class to the trophies in way of small sticker.
