Thinking of going to the LA OTMX race at Comp Edge and staying in a motel, homeless shelter, portapotty or just don't have a place to stay. I'm offering to any Nev. OTMX member space in my toy hauler (sleeps 8 or 5 if your not butt buddies) for the weekend. I'm going alone then after the race I'm going to San Clemente for 4 day's of surfing. So you'd need your own transportation but you'd have a place to sleep, shower & cook at the race.

I might have enough free miles to fly there and back.... Or maybe some of us broke members could ride down in a car if Jim could transport bikes....

Comp edge is a fun track and everyone should go. You will have fun. Just one thing, you need to have hand guards on your bike. The track does have some small rocks that can break a finger if you get roosted by someone. If I were able I would go for sure. I had a blast last year. Good luck guys.

I'd be willing to transport two bikes & plenty of room for gear (I'd just tie a rope to the gear bags and drag them behind). One thing to bare in mind; your bike's will have to stay in the back of my truck until I return home on Fri. I'm camping at Camp Pendelton Marine Beach which is safe as can be. I mean like 40 armed guards at each gate. Anyway JB you won't be flying down unless your willing to land at John Wayne Airport and take a cab $$$$$$$$$$$$. It's a long way. And I thought you had a pickup, ah a 4 door pickup, I also thought your Pop had a bike trailer and I thought you were very wealthy. An Airport in Hasperia??? A commercial airport anywhere near Hasperia?  Have you actually seen Hasperia? I don't think Southwest fly's to Hasperia  . |

One more thing; I've ordered a new surfboard and I don't have a travel bag for it. I'm picking it up Monday (after) and it'll have to ride with any bikes in the bed. Therefore if there's any damage to the board in transit from Dana Point to Camp Pendelton the owner of that or those bikes in the bed of my truck will forfeit those bikes to me to do with them as I please. ;D ;D ;D.
P.S. upon reaching the beach I'll be happy to put the board in my trailer. Any bikes forfeited will normally be sold unless they are KTM's, 011 and 012 Kawasaki's 250's or 450's or Honda 450's, 011 & 012's. Those bikes will become a part of my collection.
My wife just read this post and exclaimed "Oh Jim your so giving I just can't believe it"

I'll have to pass this time...Maybe when I retire I can go with on the surfing/camping part also. I haven't been surfing in the warm water in years. It sounds so nice right now......

Yeah I know surfing's a sickness that's incurable I try to get to SoCal or sometimes Mexico about four times a year. But alas, my wife dislikes surfing as much as she dislikes MX so I have to go it alone. |

How white are those legs Jim, or do you surf with socks on!!!!!!!!
I haven't seen the sun on any part of my body except my face for many months...................surfing would be like looking at a white flag blowin in the wind across the ocean..................Rooster

You'll just have to imagine just how silly I look hanging out at the beach in shorts. Skinny legs and chalk white, it sickens the passers by. |
