Hi guys,
Here are the minutes from Aprils meeting.
Thanks Terri for putting it all in order.

2012 April Minutes –
OTMX –
Members in attendance –
Teri Trainor, Jeramiah Brown, Rick Lloyd, Gilbert Chick, Harry Trainor, Russ Wyant, Stan Smith, Jim Hershman, Greg Chappel, Larry Brown, Duane Quick, Jim Patterson, Sonny Snodgrass
We had a practice weekend. There were 102 riders on Saturday and 78 riders on Sunday. Sunday was Easter, which may be a cause for the low turn out. The grooming was good, a bit expensive on the water.
There were about 30 or so kids who participated in the Easter egg hunt. There were many good comments from the parents and kids about the hunt. They seemed to enjoy looking for the eggs and the prizes that were given out.
We have to go non-profit or as a ‘C’ corp. Accountants say is easy to set up, and cost about $1,000 to $2,000 to do so. We should start new to be sure everything is legal. We can try to look at something online. (such as legalzoom).
We haven’t dissolved the old yet due to the fact that the City of Fernley will not pay the grant money from last year to a new name.
The grant process is handled in May and September. They will pay for advertising for any events that will bring business to the local economy (“put heads in beds”). They will pay for shirt printing as long as it is “approved”.
Fees at other OTMX nationals, $60 - $70 gate fee, $20 for practice the day before, and $90 for the race (dinner was extra). Discussion was had towards adjusting our prices.
Sierra OTMX National is being held May 5 & 6th at NMX in Maryville. $85 for preentry/ $95 regular entry; $10 admission per person/per day. $25 for practice. Saturday dinner $12. Camping is free, gates close at 9pm.
There was a suggestion that we use both tracks at our National. This will help out the track builders, and give a different sort of track each day. It was also suggested that we include the 30+ class in our regular format since a few of our members ride in those classes. We will have a 5 moto format (3 sat/2 sun).
Hollister OTHG will be running the same weekend as our National.
MOTION:
It was motioned by Duane Quick that we scrap “old yeller” since it is beyond our ability to repair at this time. Seconded by Larry Brown. Ayes we unanimous. We have had an offer of $350 for the cab.
END OF MINUTES – Teri Trainor
