Back in the day when I raced cars at Fallon Rattle Snake Raceway we always had a race on the 4th of July. This was always our biggest race of the year. This was and to this day still is where the Fireworks was put on. RSR would buy and put on the Fireworks for the City of Fallon. The City of Fallon gives them use of this land and this is a way that RSR gives back. Everyone looked forward to it. Judy & Bob I know you have seen them from your house. I was told that Sierra could not schedule their races around MxWest's 3 weekends and I find it hard to believe. They say it is because of the Mammoth race etc.... They could not even give a date to the OTMX. This is a bunch of BS! OTMX has never wanted races in the Summer. They are electing to have the first Fall Series race that will be a prep for the National race. OTHG they did not have to have a race on the same weekend as MxWest. I don't know why the OTMX & OTHG don't give back to the community and riders by having a race on the weekend of the 4th and put on some fireworks on for the City of Fernley & the riders. How about the OTHG with the help of the OTMX change their date to this weekend & make it a fun weekend. This will not only benefit the riders but the town of Fernley and also MxWest which tried to put their 1 race per month schedule out for the summer series ahead of time so there would be not conflicts. This is a win win situation! Just a thought OTMX / OTHG! Quote from a Sierra Board member "you have 1 promoter & we have 8 so who should work around who". Wrong thing to say! It is not the #of promoters but the # of quality Tracks! I will ride your track but there may be a time when you will be outdated!

I am happy to get to race at Fernley in the summer. I ride all summer down here when it's 105 degrees.

I rode every SMRA race in the spring series and had a blast! All the tracks are different in their own way. Some are well known established tracks and some are working on becoming well known established tracks. Mark you state that ,"Its not the number of promoters but the quality of the track". Remember that Rome was not built in a day and neither was MX WEST!

You are right motodad! MxWest was not built in one day and neither was Sierra MX! I too have raced some Sierra races and have had a blast. Even tracks I hate (Fernley). I am not sure what your point was but that is just another example of how these post go. You most likely missed my point also. Do you ride both Sierra & MxWest like I do? My point above is that I want to rider both and feel this could of happen. I feel we could of made this one heck of a summer series. MxWest changed our venue to give a wide open adjenda where riders could have a taist of everything. We either work together or not! I tried to make it happen and will continue to a point but I will not lose any sleep over it. If you ever want to talk to me personally then I will be at some of the Sierra Sanction races. I am not saying this in a bad way but a good way. More communication face to face it needed!
Thanks for the real nice chat on the phone last night (Name Withheld).
A saying for you motodad! Beware of a small spark because it just may become a big forest fire someday (I am talking about MxWest).

Brother Mark; I believe that the "saying" you are referring to is actually a passage from the Bible. The full and correct passage reads as follows. James Chapter 3 verses 5 and 6: Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
What a terrible picture of the tongue! James tells us that the tongue is like a fire that consumes everything in its path. Just as great forests are destroyed by the careless toss of a match, so our tongues can destroy our lives as well.
James tells us that the tongue is a world of evil. He tells us that it is a corrupting force. He says that it is itself set on fire by hell. These are strong statements. But James is trying to make an important point. Never underestimate the power of the tongue to hurt you. It can destroy what you have. It can destroy who you are. In verse 8, James calls the tongue a restless evil, full of deadly poison. Beware the power of the tongue. Never underestimate it. Use it wisely, please.
Yours truly
Brother Lee Love
