Gil;
We really had a lot of fun. Too bad you were not able to make it. Judy and I left for Reno about 5pm. We were in the canyon between Fernley and Reno and it was snowing so hard we were thinking about turning around at Mustang and going back home. We called Davey and Cory and they said the roads were a lot better in Reno and it was clear and not even snowing at Boomtown. So we continued on with no problem.
We only had about 35 members that were able to make the banquet. I guess the weather had something to do with it. But we all had fun. The dinner was very good. Stan handed out the jackets and sweatshirts and t-shirts. I think he has a sweatshirt for you.
We had the drawing and there were a lot of prizes that were donated by the shops in the area. Michael's Reno Powersports, Big Valley Honda, Nevada Motorcycle Specialties, Kawasaki of Reno, Reno Motorsports and Michael's Cycle Works all pitched in to make the drawing a success.
After the banquet, we played in the arcade and rode some rides. Judy and I decided to make for home. We left after midnite and it was snowing to Reno and into the canyon. We passed Mustang and it was not snowing as bad as on the way in. After we got through the canyon and into Fernley the weather was good.
We were thinking about the MXWest race at Mustang. It is too bad that Jerry's first race was held in bad weather. He has put so much work into the track and it really looks great.
We saw some pictures and there was a lot of snow. There was one picture of Mark Cody and he did not look like he was having fun. I hope this cold weather is over for the year and we can do some serious racing.

True, Mark did NOT look happy. That photo was right after his FIRST attempt to get that bike started. My bike barely started. It was about 15degrees, and 2" of snow everywhere. I did ride the track for practice, and it was soft under the snow, but once melted, it turned muddy. Some north faces were still ice though, and that was the deciding factor. Still it was a fun day.

Mark Cody asked me to post this for him.
I can not get my activation code here at work so I won't be able to post this on your site! If you want, I have no problem with you posting it for me. Sorry to hear the weather kept a bunch of your OTMX members from making the banquet. I have been going to the MxWestRacing banquets and they are always a bunch of fun. I am glad for the ones that braved it had a blast. Just like the families at MustangMx this weekend, true dihards. Snow Sucks! No I was not having a bad time. I actually had a great weekend especially on Saturday when the track was perfect. I must of put in 50 laps. As far as Sunday where you are talking about the picture. Yes I was not having fun at that point. My bike was tooooo lean for the cold and altitude and I could not get it started. I was trying to catch my breath from kicking. You got me!
I was bummed for Jerry and his family also because of the weather. He has done a great job and you can still see more improvement coming. There was a bunch of riders that were ready to race and I saw the disappointment on their faces also when it got cancelled.
