It's about the same as last year. The Old Timers invite support riders to race this Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, the Old Timers practice at 8am, hold a Rider's meeting and run our first set of motos. Then the Support riders will have their chance to practice (about 11:00). The Old Timers will run our 2nd set of motos and then the Support riders will run their first moto (about 1:30pm???). The Old Timers run our 3rd set of motos followed by the 2nd moto for support (about 4:00pm). On Sunday, the schedule is more normal. The Old Timers practice first (8am), then the Support classes. There will be another riders meeting and then the Old Timers will run our first set of motos. The Support classes will follow with their first set of motos. The Old Timers will again race our second set of motos and then Support will finish up the day with their second set of motos. This is not an MXWest or SMRA event. There are no MXWest or SMRA classes, no Bump points will be counted, there is not pit pass required and no spectator fees. You do not have to be there both days for an overall trophy. Each day will be scored and trophied separately for the Support riders. The cost is $30 each day. You can download an entry from the Old Timer website at www.otmx.com. We will be working on the track on Friday, so the track will be closed for practice. We will have the sign-up open to take entries and membership applications on Friday afternoon/evening and on Saturday morning. Support sign-up will also be open on Sunday morning. It is not too late for +40 year old riders to join the Nevada Old Timers and participate in the International race. Old Timers must sign up and race on both Saturday and Sunday. There is no one day entry for Old Timers. There is a Nevada chapter membership application at our website, too. The Nevada Old Timers are one of a group of twelve chapters for over 40 year old riders. We have +40, +50, +60, +70 and 2 guys that are still racing that are 80+ years old. The chapters are located in 7 western states and 2 provinces in Canada. Each chapter hosts one International race event each year. This is our 12 race International series. This Labor Day weekend, the Nevada chapter will play host to the other 11 chapter's member/riders. The events are 2 day events and the Old Timers race 3 motos on Saturday and 2 motos on Sunday. The motos are timed and last from 16 minutes +1 lap fior Novice riders to 22 minutes +1 lap for the Master class riders.
